第五届中国国际通信设备技术展览会于2002年10月29日至11月2日在北京中国国际展览中心举行。信息技术是当今世界发展最迅速、影响最广的高新技术。信息产业是全球经济高速发展的重要推动力。当前,世界上部分地区虽然出现了经济增长趋缓、通信发展低迷状况,但人们仍然坚信信息通信技术的研究与创新是全球经济发展的主要驱动力。中国的信息通信业保持了20%以上的发展速度,已由制约国民经济发展的瓶颈成为带动国民经济增长的支柱产业、基础产业和先导产业,实现了历史性跨越。中国的网络数字化水平已进入世界先进行列,信息技术自主开发能力和技术装备国产化比重得到明显提高,正在成为国民经济新的增长点。本届展会共有来自中国(包括香港、澳门特别行政区以及中国台湾省)、英国、美国、加拿大、芬兰、法国、德国、比利时、以色列、日本、韩国、新加坡、瑞典等24个国家和地区的500多家企业参展,展出面积超过55000m2;展览会期间还举办了数十场技术交流会,这些都为加快中国信息产业的发展,扩大中外信息通信界在技术、经贸领域的交流与合作发挥了积极的作用。
The 5th China International Telecommunications Equipment Technology Exhibition was held in Beijing China International Exhibition Center from October 29 to November 2, 2002. Information technology is the fastest growing and most influential high-tech in the world today. The information industry is an important driving force for the rapid development of the global economy. At present, although some regions in the world have seen the slowdown in economic growth and the downturn in communications, people still strongly believe that research and innovation in information and communication technologies are the main drivers of global economic development. China’s information and communication industry has maintained a growth rate of over 20% and has become a historic leap forward from the bottleneck restricting the development of the national economy to the pillar industry, basic industry and precursor industry that drive the growth of the national economy. The digitization level of the Chinese network has entered the advanced ranks in the world. The proportion of the self-development capability of information technology and localization of technology and equipment has been significantly raised, and it is becoming a new growth point for the national economy. This exhibition has 500 participants from 24 countries and regions including Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province of China, Britain, USA, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Belgium, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Sweden A number of exhibitors, exhibiting an area of more than 55000m2; also held during the exhibition dozens of technical exchanges, which are to speed up the development of China’s information industry, expand the information and communication sector of Chinese and foreign in the field of technology, economy and trade exchanges and cooperation play positive effect.
