17世纪文艺复兴之后的一段时间内,欧洲一些 国家的新型建筑中,充满了各式无用的装 饰,后人把这种建筑称之为“巴洛克”式建筑。二百多年过去了,类似于“巴洛克”建筑式的事物仍屡见不鲜,并充斥于社会生活的各个领域。日本工业调查联合会的调查结果表明:一些家用电器制造商,因过分追求家用电器功能上的新、奇、全,曾一度出现“产品机能虚饰”现象,使得一些家用电器操作使用变得复杂无比,而真正常用适用的机能并不多。产品机能过剩不仅给消费者增加了负担,也使产品的成本无谓地提高,从而导致该类产品在市场上失去竞争力。
