严复的翻译三字标准:信、达、雅,后人将其归纳为忠实、通顺,并把它作为衡量翻译的最低标准。朱自清的散文《背影》影响颇大,前后张培基、杨宪益都对它进行过翻译。本文从“忠实”的角度对张培基译文中个别细微之处进行了分析,旨在说明翻译活动在进行之前必须深入了解原文字面内涵及其背后内容。 Yan Fu three words of translation standards: letter, up, elegant, future generations will be summarized as faithful, smooth, and use it as a measure of translation minimum standards. This paper analyzes some subtleties in Zhang Peiji’s translation from the perspective of “loyalty”, aiming to show that the translating activities must understand the literal meaning of the original and its contents before proceeding.
