三道坝镇,就在天山东部的博格达峰下。这块沃土,历史上就是北疆的水稻之乡,享誉疆内外的米泉大米,就盛产在这96平方公里大地上。近年来,该镇面貌发生巨大变化,经济快速健康发展。三道坝镇到2004年,实现国内生产总值达22405万元,与2003年同比增长12%;农民人均纯收入4928元,同比增加505元。同时,该镇社会各项事业全面发展,先后被授予自治区社会治安综合治理先进集体、自治区文化体育先进乡镇、自治区科技进步先进乡镇、昌吉回族自治州级党建工作示范乡镇、州级文明乡镇、州级信访先进单位等近百项荣誉称号。
