在毛主席革命路线指引下,为了落实毛主席“绿化祖国”的伟大号召,我场自一九五八年建场以来,开展了防风固沙植树造林的生产斗争。通过实践,认识,再实践,再认识的反复过程,我们在治沙造林方面摸索出了一个行之有效的“沙丘倒坑埋干造林”方法。即在沙丘造林的部位,选择适宜树种、适宜密度,利用沙丘移动规律,撵沙腾地,腾地造林,引沙入林,以林固沙。它具有省工、简便、经济、成活率高、收效显著等优点,适于流动沙地的特点。我场采用这个方法,在流沙中已植树造林一万八千余亩,其中够檩材以上的有1000多亩,椽材5000多亩,幼林一万三千多亩。这些林木不仅将为国家生产大量木材,而更主要的是起到了防风固沙,保护农田的作用。

I use this method in the quicksand has been planted more than 18,000 acres of afforestation, of which more than Sumao have more than 1,000 acres, 5,000 acres of rafters, young forest 13,000 acres. These trees will not only produce a lot of wood for the country, but more importantly they play a role of windbreak and sand fixation and farmland protection.
