After several months of hard work by my friends and colleagues,I am glad to see that the first issue of Chinese Joual of Urban and Environmental Studies (CJUES) be finally published at the end of this colorful year.CJUES is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary joual that explores issues related to urban development and sustainability.As the first English joual of this kind in China,CJUES aims at establishing an essential inteational forum for academic investigation and exchange in the field of urban,environmental and sustainable development;promoting the theoretical and analytical development within this area of study in both China and inteational context;and offering new perspectives and policy analysis based on comparative research,study of inteational best-practice,and active discussion of cutting-edge issues.By serving as a bridge across countries,institutions,and disciplines the joual welcomes scholarly views and results.
