河南省浚县鹤中冬熟果树研究中心成立于1983年,专业从事冬桃新品种开发研究。中心主任马玉玺高级工程师从1987年起先后育出中华冬桃2号、红雪桃、雪桃红世界、国庆红、霜降蜜,特别是又在全国首次育出红叶冬桃~,为此《河南日报》、《农民日报》、《特种经济动植物》等媒体专门以《马玉玺育出极晚熟红叶冬桃珍稀品种》为题宣传报道“高级工程师马玉玺历经多年潜心研究,育出稀世珍品红叶冬桃,终于成为我国第一位攻破有2000多年栽培历史青叶冬桃的桃树育种专家,填补我国红叶冬桃育种的空白。”
