中国传统戏曲舞台形式是在中国传统美学影响下 ,融汇了其它艺术的审美样式 ,形成了独特的舞台审美风格。其中简约的舞台形式 ,不仅是外在艺术形式的精炼 ,也是一种审美心理对舞台形式的规范 ,同时强化了戏曲舞台审美的主观精神倾向。立象以尽意亦是传统戏曲舞台形式的审美特征。“立象”不是在舞台上设立具体写实的舞台景物 ,而是在“简约”的美学原则下 ,使舞台景物化为具有深刻思想的视觉符号 ,让“空灵”的舞台充满了意象编织的网络 ,从而获取舞台形式的内在精神韵味 ,为戏曲演出创造出合情合理的舞台空间。
