60年代初,山东省为在宽浅河槽上修建公路桥梁,创造钢筋混凝土二铰平板拱桥(简称二铰板拱)以后,这种桥型在东北、华北、西北及中南10余省(区)很快得到推广.然而由于结构本身的缺陷,这种桥都发生了不同程度的损坏,有些甚至不能使用.我国现存二铰板拱的总长还有2万多延米.山西省交通厅为了探索该省尚存在的22座(2023m)二铰板拱的加固技术,于1988年由省公路局列题与交通部公路科学研究所共同对二铰板拱桥进行了研究.
