Dr. Charles Robbins of the Department of Forage Research of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, at the Seychelles Research Center, found through comparative studies that the sorghum and sudangrass hybrids had obvious functions of purifying the saline-alkali soil. This pasture can also be in saline-alkali soil under dry conditions of low rainfall
