1978年,江西萍乡市农科所在研究杂交水稻无花粉型不育材料杂交组合中,发现两个典败变异株。当代即与父本回交,在第二年的观察中,育性发生了分离,不育株与可育株呈1∶1。第三年观察可育株,发现无育性分离。经过数年田间观察,姐妹交及与其它品种的测交F_1和F_2,它们各代的育性情况和结果与上述完全一致。
In 1978, Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province where the hybridization of hybrid rice pollen-type sterile materials, found two typical mutant. In the second instance, fertility was segregated, and the sterile plants and fertile plants were 1: 1. The third year of observation of fertile plants, found sterile separation.
