The Vanderdale College, Grand Rapids, Michigan, houses a state-of-the-art Cancer Institute that falls like a waterfall on every terrace, reminiscent of the nearby river rapids. In response to the irregularly shaped slopes of downtown, Rafael Vinolelli Architects designed a flexible, phased-in facility that will encourage researchers’ interaction and fit into this established in 1997 The need for private research institutions to change.
