一般而言,散文是一种注重抒写真实感受的文学体裁。散文家通过记人叙事、状物写景,有感而发、有为而作,表达出自己的日常感受和生活境遇。现代作家吴伯箫说过:“说真话,叙事实,写实物、实情,这仿佛是散文的传统。”不同于诗歌、戏剧、小说,散文绝不是仅凭想象就能编造出来的文体。它“所写的真人、真事、真景、真物,都必须符合事实上的真实,而不是艺术虚构的真实”。在这个意义上可以说,散文具有非虚构性。较其他文体,它能更真实、更直接地体现作者的精神体验和品格情操。
