李先念是无产阶级革命家、政治家、军事家,党和国家卓越的领导人。抗日战争时期任新四军豫鄂挺进纵队司令员,1941年4月该纵队整编为新四军第五师,他任师长兼政治委员。他领导中原抗战、扼守中原和中原突围,功勋卓著。晚年他又任中国新四军和华中抗日根据地研究会名誉会长,对新四军历史的研究和编写,非常关心,作了许多指示。在他诞辰100周年之际,特撰此文以资纪念。
Li Xiannian is a remarkable leader of proletarian revolutionaries, statesmen, militarists, the party and the country. In the War of Resistance Against Japan, he served as Commander of the Forces of the Forces of the New Fourth Army in Henan and advancing into the column. In April 1941, the column was reorganized into the Fifth Division of the New Fourth Army. He was a teacher and political commissar. He led the Central Plains Anti-Japanese War, guarding the Central Plains and the Central Plains breakthrough, feats. In his later years, he became honorary president of the Research Institute of the New Fourth Army of China and the Anti-Japanese Base of Central China. He paid great attention and made many instructions to the study and preparation of the history of the New Fourth Army. On the occasion of his 100th birthday, this essay commemorates this article.
