人们常讲,到广饶便有两件事,一品肴驴肉,二看孙子祠。据称,肴驴肉适于武士下酒,常吃能够生力,这里曾出过皇帝侍卫,相传因习武时不断吃肴驴肉。广饶名吃肴驴肉开创于清朝同治年间,距今已有120多年的历史,当初是以县城西关崔记的肴鸡、肴驴肉及其他肉类为主的“福盛馆”为最佳。走进广饶县城,便见沿街有各种字号的肴驴肉店。肴驴肉在广饶县有千余年的历史。据史册记载,清同治十二年(1873年),该县十一村一武举人名崔万庆,举荐兵部,肴驴肉遂奉诏入京,供皇家享用。康有为吃罢肴驴肉,作诗一首:旅居京华骑驴郎,残羹冷炙豪门光,当年不知驴肉美,何事扣门却芬芳。
