“5·12”汶川特大地震很可能是我们这一代记者生涯中所能记录的最惨烈的灾难了。这次地震对我们的新闻报道提出了空前的挑战:一方面是观众对信息的巨大需求;一方面是道路、通讯中断而使记者面临不易抵达现场、不易搞清情况、不易传回消息的困境。我是较早抵达灾区的记者之一,经历了最危急最困难的时刻。在灾区的11个日日夜夜让我深深思考:
