Turning medieval map of Germany, we will be amazed at the small state of affairs shown by the red and green colors. Before the seventies of the seventies, the country of germany was torn apart and there were endless disputes. After thirty years of war (1618-1648) in particular, Germany was overcrowded and unable to compare with the then powerful maritime powers of Portugal, West, Netherlands, France and Britain. There are relatively fewer German missionaries in China. It is said that in the early 14th century, several German priests had been to China. Unfortunately, nothing left about China was reported. At that time, Germans knew little about China. 1477 “Marco Polo Travels” officially published in German translation. The reports of missionaries from various European countries about China were also gradually introduced into Germany. Germans’ understanding of China began to be enriched.
