Before 1924, the revolution led by the Sun Yat-sen Kuomintang was an elite revolution rather than a real popular revolution. Therefore, the Kuomintang quite neglected the merchant and merchant movement. Taking the reorganization of the Kuomintang in 1924 as a turning point, the enterprisers of the Chinese revolution awakened the public and created a series of organizations, technologies and procedures to arouse people’s citizenship and national identity. Communists, on the other hand, have a more sober understanding of China’s national conditions and think that businessmen should be one of the basic forces in the democratic revolution in China and therefore vigorously develop the mass movement. In this context, the merchant movement came into being. The merchant movement is the result of the cooperation between Kuomintang and the Communist Party and is an important part of the Chinese people’s movement. It has made an important contribution to the Chinese revolution.
