An efficient and attractive building and energy management system should include the ability to automatically record owner electricity, gas and water, which not only reduces costs, controls error chances, and eliminates the need for time-consuming manual on-site meter reading operations. The Advanced Meter Reading Network Infrastructure (AMI) system is used to record user data, which is transmitted by radio to the public utility network and analyzed by an energy management system. The sensitivity and selectivity of the transceiver are crucial to the reliable radio connection between the AMI and the network.
