能为王迦南和蔡小丽近作的出版写下一些文字,在我看来何尝不是一件乐事。他们并非中国绘画史上第一对著名的夫妻档。早在十四世纪,便有伟大的天才赵孟緁与其妻,擅长画竹的管道升联袂同行,而当代,也可随口举出吴作人与萧淑芳,庞熏琴与丘堤,曾善庆和杨燕萍等为例。有幸与王迦南、蔡小丽相识之士,皆知二人才艺比肩,足以相互激发,却又能保持各自独特的个性。 It is not a pleasure for me to write some words for the publication of Wang Canan and Cai Xiaoli’s recent works. They are not the first famous couple in the history of Chinese painting. As early as the fourteenth century, there was a great genius, Zhao Mengyuan, who was well-versed with his wife and good at painting bamboo pipes. In the contemporary era, Wu Zuoren and Xiao Shufang, Pang Shenqin and Qiu Di, Zeng Shanqing and Yang Yanping as examples . Fortunate enough to meet with Wang Canan and Cai Xiaoli, both of them know that talent can compete with each other and maintain their unique personality.
