翻译是两种文化的交融共生,好的译作不仅仅要忠实于原文,更要为译入语读者所接受和喜爱。要完成一部让读者喜闻乐见的译作,译者必然会根据译入语读者的特点进行各种考量。本文取霍克斯英译版《好了歌》及《好了歌》解为样本,借助传播学中的“受众”相关理论,在西方修辞学的框架下,分析霍克思在《红楼梦》翻译中所体现出的受众意识,解读其译本在西方世界广受欢迎的背后原因,旨在为中国文学作品的对外翻译提供一定的借鉴和启示。 Translation is the blending and coexistence of two cultures.
