我常为此感叹:功利与贪欲的驱使,使得当今的书画领地上乏善可陈,形同垃圾的东西比比皆是。相反的是:值得我们去认真品鉴的精品可谓是凤毛麟角。刚出炉不久,置于我书案上的这本《朱建忠画集》正属于“凤毛麟角”一类。我被分配到南艺教书时(1981年),朱建忠尚未毕业离校。可再次相识,却已是二十多年以后的事。那年,我去南通策划展览,初次走进了他的画室,读过他的不少作品后,不觉眼前一亮。后来,又多次读到他的作品,印象便渐渐深刻起来。在我的心目中,他是一个与众不同的“真画者”。为人低调,不喜应酬,不玩文字,沉静寡言,只是一门心思地画他的画。他对自己的要求近乎苛刻,画不到“位”的作品绝不示人。凡可以示人的作品则几乎件件都是精品。唯精品值得品鉴。古人云:文章如日月,终古常见而光景常新(李文饶),绘
