徐州烹饪源远流长,历代史籍、诗文中有许多记载帝尧时封于大彭氏国的篯铿彭祖被尊为烹饪的鼻祖,《中国烹饪史略》称他是中国第一位职业厨师,他为尧帝烹调的“雉羹”是我国最早见于典籍的肴馔。老南门口饣它汤锅岁月更替,时光如梭。转眼就到了清朝。清朝乾隆年间(1736),乾隆皇帝下江南,到过徐州,品尝此汤,很是惬意。便问厨师:“是啥汤?”。答曰:“就是饦汤”。当乾隆看到、尝到的同时,已悟出是雉羹;并又问厨师“啥汤怎样写的?”厨师文化不高顿时傻了眼,用手指比画着“食”字右
