To investigate the relationship between platelet activation and reactive oxygen species in children with primary nephrotic syndrome (NS). Methods: The positive rate of peripheral platelet membrane glycoprotein CD6 2P and CD6 3 in 38 children with NS was detected by flow cytometry. The activity of SOD and the content of MDA in peripheral blood were detected. Results: The activities of CD6 2P, CD6 3 and MDA were significantly increased in NS active stage, the SOD level was significantly decreased, and the recovery stage was close to that of normal control group. CD6 2P and CD6 3 were negatively correlated with SOD and positively correlated with MDA. CONCLUSIONS: There is a correlation between the activation of platelet in active NS and reactive oxygen species in the body, which may be one of the important pathogenesis of NS in children.
