在台湾媒体行业内,杂志具有特殊性。纵观其发展过程,杂志业一路走来,基本特征是起步早发展快变化大。在作为文化商品受价值规律制约的同时,又要接受社会效益的衡量;在经营中受市场需求限制的同时,又受到电子媒体的冲击;在作为文化商品看重数量的同时,又要讲质量;在具有报纸行业的“新”和“快”的同时,又要有自身的“全、奇、精”。上述情况迫使杂志业者不断寻找适合杂志生存和发展的空间。
