正在全党上下开展的保持共产党员先进性教育活动,是提高党的执政能力、巩固党的执政基础、实现党的执政使命的重要举措,也是提高党员整体素质、纯洁党员队伍的迫切要求。笔者认为保持党员先进性,需要强化“六种意识”:一、需要强化忧患意识。在推进构建和谐社会的伟大进程中,同样需要有忧国忧民之心,这是衡量一个党员是否与党同心同德的标志之一。我国改革发展处在关键时期,影响社会和谐的因素较多。比如:社会事业发展相对滞后,区域发展很不平衡,城乡差距、地区差距、部门差距、行业差距愈来愈大,新情况新问题层出不穷。在复杂的国际国内形势下,党要带领全国各族人民全面建设小康社会,实现继续推进现代化建设、完成祖国统一、维护世界 The educational campaign to maintain the advanced nature of party members, which is being carried out throughout the party, is an important measure to enhance the party’s ability to govern, consolidate the party’s governing foundation and realize the party’s governing mission.
