地处上海市南郊的奉贤区,北倚黄浦江,南临杭州湾,是一个风光秀丽的滨海城区。早在1999年,奉贤区就率先提出创建依法治理达标地区,积极推进全区的法治进程。通过10多年的努力,该区在加快经济及社会各项事业稳步发展的同时,全区领导干部及广大人民群众的“法治”理念不断强化,“法治”精神在不断发扬光大,行政部门的依法治理水平不断提升。全区持续保持社会安定和政治稳定,人民群众安全感和满意率大幅提升。2007年起,该区连续五年公众安全感测评名列全市前茅,在被评为上海市首家“平安城区”后,连续五年保持了“上海市平安城区”荣誉称号,目前在积极争创全国“平安城区”。
