With the globalization of information, the globalization of modes of communication and the globalization of culture, the cross-cultural transmission of films has become the key point of innovation and breakthrough in the film industry. Especially the Hollywood animated films, which, under the production of the Western film team, use advanced production concepts and technologies to bring together the cultures and beliefs of all countries in the world to create a distinctive film format. In this format, intercultural communication has become a recipe for movie cartoons at the highest box office. Kung Fu Panda 1 in 2008 and Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011 are examples of success. However, no matter what the form of intercultural communication, it can not be separated from the category of “iceberg model” proposed by Hemingway. This article takes “Kung Fu Panda” as an example, to analyze the application of “iceberg mode” theory in movies.
