In the past that the vestibular membranes in the cochlear liquid play a simple role of the separator. The now widely accepted theory of hydrodynamics is that endolymphatic flow slowly and longitudinally toward the endolymphatic sac has been accompanied by the local exchange of the vestibular membrane’s cochlear fluid. The article focuses on the ultrastructure of rabbit vestibular membranes.
