This paper introduces the general situation of technology development of variable frequency drive hydraulic elevator control system at home and abroad, and expounds the structure and working principle of various forms of variable frequency drive hydraulic system. Several key problems in variable frequency drive hydraulic elevator control system are analyzed in detail, including hydraulic Loop leakage compensation, low-frequency torque, pre-balance circuit pressure drop start loop, electromagnetic shielding, large closed-loop control, downlink energy recovery and reduce the installed power methods; pointed out that the variable frequency drive hydraulic system is one of the important development direction of the hydraulic elevator
