在参与编撰《朱端钧戏剧艺术研究》一书的时候,我得有机会从许多话剧史料及向老一辈艺术家的求访中,对朱端钧先生的创作生涯和为人品格有了进一步的了解。我深深地体会到,一位艺术家活着时受人尊敬,作古后使人久久缅怀,不仅是因为他成绩卓著,誉满艺坛,更主要的是他那高风亮节的人格,淡泊名利、热爱艺术甚于生命的艺德。朱端钧先生早年参加了由洪深先生主持的“复旦剧社”。一九三八年,在上海沦为“孤岛”的险恶环境下,他积极参加了由地下党于伶等同志领导的“上海剧艺社”,以戏剧作武器,采用迂回曲折的方法向敌人展开了不屈的斗争。新中国成立后,他以上海戏剧学院教务长、副院长兼表演系主任的身分,脚踏实
