“明体达用”是宋学的思维逻辑,也是它区别于汉学的文化精髓。在体用论观念的支配下,“道”不再是客观认识的对象,宋儒改而追问它的存在方式或显现,并在“道”和人事之间建立了一种以体制用、以用观体的阐释关系。宋儒普遍慕求的“内圣外王”、“孔颜乐处”、“诗文道流”、“学贵自得”等人生境界,就是受到体用观念的影响而形成的。
