保康县境内山峦迭嶂、沟壑纵横,是湖北省37个山区县之一,也是湖北省国家级贫困县。目前,县城建成区绿地率达36.41％,绿化覆盖率达42.97％,人均公共绿地10.34平方米。如何发挥自身优势,走出一条具有山区特色的城市发展之路是摆在当政者面前的一个严肃课题。
