In recent years, the equipment for radiation therapy for cancer has progressed very rapidly. Since the fifties, the use of high-energy radiation, radiation therapy has significantly improved. In particular, it has begun to have a significant effect on tumors that cannot be treated in the era of individual conventional X-ray therapy. In terms of equipment, the development of clinical applications from conventional X-ray machines to ~(60)Co teletherapy machines, induction accelerators, and linear accelerators is very fast. At the same time, radiation physics provides the correct physical basis for clinical radiotherapy, and it can repeat the reliable basis for both radiation dose values and the spatial distribution of dose.
