报刊涨价的风波,不仅给屡遭物价上涨困扰的读者带来烦恼,也使每一位有责任心的新闻工作者感到不安:谁不希望自己的报刊价廉物美拥有更多的读者呢?然而,事与原违,高额的报刊成本,逼得报刊社不得不择此下策。即使是涨价之后,一些报刊的经营仍然捉襟见肘。究其原因,与国家及有关部门没有给新闻业提供更多的经营条件有关。这一点,通过与海外一些国家和地区对比,可以明白。在税收方面,美国50个州中,有47个州免征报纸 The turmoil in newspaper prices has not only annoyed readers who have been troubled by price increases, but also made every responsible journalist feel uneasy: who does not want to have more readers for its newspapers?
