鲁麦8号系山东农业大学小麦育种研究室以矮孟牛[矮丰3号×(盂县201×牛朱特)F1]为母本,辐66为父本杂交育成。原代号为山农110013。1985年8月经山东省农作物品种审定委员会审定定名. 主要特征特性该品种为冬性,幼苗匍匐,分蘖力较强,成穗率中等。越冬性良好。矮秆,株高一般75～80厘米.株型较紧凑,耐肥水,抗倒伏。高抗条锈病,兼抗叶锈和白粉病。抽穗较早,灌浆期长,籽粒大.千粒重55克左右。中晚熟,与对照种济南13号同期成熟.抗干热风。落黄性较好。穗长方形,长芒、白壳、白粒,蛋白质含量为13.98%,赖氨酸含量为0.40%(1985年山东省农业科学院中心实验室化验结果)。
