佛山是我国古代四大名镇之一,据史料记载曾有过为数不少的私家园林古迹,较出名的有东林拥翠、鹤园、佛山祖庙和广东四大名园之一的梁园等四处.东林拥翠是佛山古代八景之一,占地一平方公里;鹤园占地16公顷,这两处现已荡然无存,仅残留“东林古迹石匾”和鹤园遗址残匾.佛山祖庙和梁园(即群星草堂)在建国前也荒废变样,建国后市委、市政府先后拨巨款对祖庙和梁园进行修复,佛山祖庙已重现光彩,成为中外人士来禅必游之地.梁园也在分期全面修复,行将开放.
Foshan is one of the four famous ancient towns in China. According to historical records, there are a large number of private garden monuments. The famous ones are Donglin Yongcui, Heyuan, Foshan Ancestral Temple and Liangyuan, one of Guangdong’s four famous gardens. In the vicinity, Donglin Yongcui is one of the eight ancient sceneries in Foshan and covers an area of one square kilometer. The Heyuan Garden covers an area of 16 hectares. The two sites are no longer in existence, leaving only the “Eastern Forest Monuments” and the remains of the Heyuan site. Foshan The Zumiao Temple and Liangyuan Garden (also known as the Group of Stars Thatched Cottage) were abandoned before the founding of the People’s Republic of China. After the founding of the People’s Republic, the city party committee and the municipal government successively allocated large sums of money to repair the Zumiao Temple and Liangyuan Garden. The Foshan Zumiao Temple has been brilliance and has become a must for Chinese and foreign people to come to Zen. Travel to the land. Liang Yuan is also fully repaired in phases and will be open.
