I remember in the 1950s, to welcome a group of eminent personalities from the Japanese education community, I watched with admiration a beautiful, dignified, courteous, humble, gentle lady with extraordinary temperament in the lobby of the Nanjing Office of Communication. At that time, someone told me that she was Wu Yifang, then the famous golden female president who represented China in the Charter of the United Nations and is currently the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. When I heard the name “Wu Yifang,” she was awestruck For the first time I met this outstanding Chinese woman. In the early 1980s, the democratic parties resumed their activities and I was absorbed into the China Association for the Promotion of Democracy. At that time, Comrade Secretary Si Xiaonan, secretary general of the People’s Democratic Progressive Party Committee, told Wu Lao to come to Fuzhong to come to the party branch secretary Wu Xianui, hoping to recommend several comrades to join the Democratic Progressive Party, and Comrade Yu Ren This joined the DPP. At that time, both of us were teaching deputy director. At that time, we both did not know much about the DPP. However, we feel honored to have a strong sense of identity with Wu.
