简·斯梅蕾是当代美国最伟大的女性作家之一,其杰出作品《一千英亩》为作者赢得了1992年普利策奖和美国国家书评人奖。本文从互文性理论的角度对《一千英亩》进行互文性解读。文章通过情节设计,母题,引用等互文性具体表现方式揭示出《一千英亩》和《李尔王》互相指涉的部分,从而例证了《一千英亩》是对《李尔王》的重新改写。在《一千英亩》中,作者简.斯梅蕾通过对经典作品的改写,将《一千英亩》颠覆了善良战胜邪恶的传统意义,并且赋予其改写的故事以新的内涵。现代主义文学作品中运用的互文性实质上是对现代社会现实的语言反映。《一千英亩》对《李尔王》的改写反映了社会文化与人类思想意识的发展与变化。
Jane Smere, one of the greatest female writers in the contemporary United States, won the 1992 Pulitzer Prize and the American National Book Criticship Prize for his author for his outstanding work, One Thousand Acres. This essay intertextually interprets “One Thousand Acres” from the perspective of intertextuality. The article reveals the parts of “One Thousand Acres” and “Lear King” referring to each other through plotting, motifs and citations, thus illustrating that “One Thousand Acres” Rewrite. In “One Thousand Acres”, author Jane Smyre through the rewrite of the classic works, “One Thousand Acres” subverts the traditional meaning of good to overcome evil, and give the rewritten story with a new meaning. The intertextuality used in modernist literary works is essentially a linguistic reflection of the reality of modern society. The rewriting of “One Thousand Acres” of King Lear reflects the development and changes of social culture and human ideology.
