语言测试理论的发展对手语等级标准研制具有指导意义。本文在分析语言测试理论发展的脉络和整体规律的基础上,提出:国家通用手语等级标准的研制应考虑以交际语言测试模式为基础,构建手语等级标准研制的理论框架;手语等级标准及相关测试应坚持效度优先,同时还需注意所研制的标准及相关测试对手语教学的反拨作用。
