在经济一体化、文化趋同化的今天,如何保持民民族独立的文化品格并能被世界所接受,已成为一项迫在眉睫的问题,民间美术将在其中扮演重要角色。河南泥玩具中淮阳泥泥狗和浚县泥咕咕是其中的杰出代表,具有“敦厚、简练、疏朗、气势宏大、施色大胆”的艺术风格。泥玩具承载着人类精神崇拜的印痕,蕴含着趋吉避邪、祈求平安寓意,是民众心理愿望的现实反映。现代吉祥物设计应从中吸取其平民精神,才能设计出优秀作品。
