弓长岭铁矿二矿区是我国著名的大型富铁矿床,其矿床成因,目前主要有三种观点: 第一种观点,根据磁铁富矿具层状和层控矿床的特征,认为是原生沉积富矿;第二种观点,根据在磁铁富矿中发现有石墨,认为磁铁富矿是原生菱铁矿经分解再造而成;第三种观点,根据磁铁富矿体产在蚀变围岩中,受主干断裂控制,局部“穿插”贫矿体,矿体形态除似层状外,也有脉状、透镜状、团块状,认为富矿是条带状磁铁贫矿经混合岩化热液改造而成。
