在分析异地协同设计面临问题的基础上,提出了适应目前网络条件的解决方案.通过集成VRML、Java等开放标准和技术,实现了低成本的基于Web和VR(虚拟现实)的异地协同设计,直观、准确、迅速地共享、传输、重用异地分布的设计信息,并使设计结果实时可视化,提高了异地协同设计的效率与质量.
