This is a day off, Wang left home early in the morning, walking to the Planning Institute walked. Tall body in the cold sicken, right shoulder carrying a bag, bulging, which is installed in the office to work overtime with information. He was very busy, and after many of us met, he promised to interview on this day off. We came to his office, which was said to never be off, and the bookcases on either side were high and almost straight to the roof, extending from the door to the opposite window. The tall, deep-dented room built in the 1950s and 1960s became more and more narrow, much like a corridor. Our urban planner is drawing a blueprint for Beijing’s modernization in such a crowded office with all its tables, chairs and books, documents and drawings.
