Golden ear is a precious food, medicinal fungus. Scholars at home and abroad mostly research on the morphology, classification, rarely reported on artificial cultivation. Golden ear natural yield is very low, only very few products in Yunnan, it is difficult to meet the needs of domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, we conducted a survey of wild golden ear in 1982. From 1983 to 1988, we conducted a pilot-scale and large-scale demonstration and promotion and achieved success, increasing the output from several hundred kilograms to 20 tons with an output value of one million yuan . The color and shape of cultivated golden ear are the same as wild ones. The fruiting bodies are generally larger than the wild golden ears, the maximum diameter is 22 cm, the content of amino acids is also higher than that of the wild golden ears, and the growth cycle is short, the investment is small and the returns are great.
