The most visionary and ambitious people are preparing for the big day of their IPO, hiring experienced CFOs, building detailed financial models, finding metrics that help measure returns, and adding a lot of private capital to drive growth. These steps are all very effective, but many people still lack the key one on the requisite list: “Know Your Customer.”
