Objective To analyze the clinical effect of modified miffness index (m MRC) assessment and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease evaluation test scale (CAT) in assessing the severity of the disease in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods Seventy-five patients with stable COPD from April 2014 to June 2015 were enrolled in this study. The correlation between m-MRC assessment, CAT score and the severity of COPD was analyzed. Results There was a significant correlation between m-MRC and CAT scores and the severity of COPD. Conclusions Both m-MRC and CAT scores can reflect the severity of COPD patients, both of which are closely related to the serious grading of COPD patients.
