Recently, the International Joint Committee on Honey Trade (HTPA) has issued a law on the safety inspection of honey purity and quality. Each year, the members of the Trade Commission provide honey to the international trade market and account for 90% of the entire trade market. According to the law, the members of the Trade Commission must ensure that the honey exported from the country is not adulterated, and the purity of honey is 100%. When exporting each type of honey, it is necessary to explain and describe the characteristics of honey’s nectar and its geographical location. In addition, the label attached to honey packaging must indicate the content of several major components of the honey according to the requirements of the International Trade Organization. If any of these violations are found, the International Trade Commission will punish the exporting country by law. When the international trade market imports honey from non-trade committee member countries, it must conduct strict inspections to ensure that the purity and quality of honey meet the standards set by the Trade Commission.
