天旱,只盼着下雨,却就是没有雨。由是想起小时候家乡大旱时就会到龙王庙祈雨的故事。一些地方官员、士绅耆老斋戒沐浴,诚惶诚恐,向神龛内木雕泥塑的龙王爷上香献爵,三跪九叩首,乞求龙王行雨。若干日后,仍无雨。那就是把龙王爷抬到庙外,让他在烈日下尝尝曝晒的滋味。如若干日后,还是无雨,那就不客气要打龙王了。当然打是象征性的,打后还要抬回庙内供起来。
