在有关工业中,对于电缆线、金属丝、薄膜等连续运行着的材料,大都采用滚切法(范成法)测定其长度。这种方法备有一个测量轮,它由被测材料带动旋转。测轮的转数与周长的乘积便是被测材料的长度。该法的测量误差约为被测长度的±0.5%。但是当材料的运行速度超过10m/s时,主要由于打滑的缘故,滚切法不再适用。因此人们迫切希望采用一种不接触的测量方法。
In the relevant industries, for the continuous operation of cables, wires, thin films and other materials, mostly using roll cut method (Fan Cheng method) to measure the length. This method is equipped with a measuring wheel, which is driven by the measured material rotation. The product of the number of rotations and the circumference of the wheel is the length of the material under test. The measurement error of this method is about ± 0.5% of the measured length. But when the material runs faster than 10m / s, the hobbing method is no longer suitable, mainly because of slippage. Therefore, people are eager to adopt a non-contact measurement method.
